Bulgaria – on 5th position in shopping centers development in Europe

A total of 600 sq.m. of retail space are in process of construction in Bulgaria at present, according to Cushman & Wakefield’s report on retail space development (represented by Forton International in Bulgaria). Once these projects are completed, Bulgaria will enter the top 5 of mall areas per capital. This has occurred at a time when construction of shopping centers in Europe has declined by 19% and still decreasing. “The number of shopping center projects on Bulgarian territory is too high for the size of our local market” concluded Sergey Koynov, Managing Partner of Forton International.
